Designing at its Finest!

Time passes so fast! It's like just yesterday when school started-now we're heading to our final quarter! But of course before that we have to look back to what we did this 3rd quarter.

Just like every 3rd quarter, it flew so fast. A lot of activities were happening and the requirements that the teachers on top doesn't make it any better. But look at that! I made it!

We made our own web page's and designed it how we like it look. Luckily the content was about the content of the research project that we made the quarter before that.

I learned how to use the Microsoft Frontpage, which I find quite enjoyable. And now I'm hoping that the final quarter is just as good!

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Remembering how my young self always get excited when the month of September comes, feeling so joyed because finally the long wait has ended and I can already feel the Christmas Spirit. People start to put up Christmas lights on their houses, to lit up the place. Start hearing chirtmas songs that are just what kids love to hear. And seing some people who are utterly excited to put up their christmas decors.

On the way to December, you will see people moving from house to house, singing the christmas carols. Some people even wake up very early to go to church and listen to God's words, we call that Misa de Gallo. After listening to God's words, outside the church there are vendors who sell sticky rice treats that we can enjoy after. The food are just so perfect and fit for the cold weather especially when you partner it with hot coffe or hot choco.

Christmas is very much celebrated because it is when Jesus our Savior was given birth. It's not just about the christmas carols, the gifts that you recieved when Christmas Eve came, the reunion of families and the great food that is served, but it is about cherishing and appreciating everyone around you and sharing your blessing to one another. We should also remember to thank God because he is the reason why we have what we have now.

                MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

CRUEL WORLD

In this cruel world that we live in, it is expected that people will not always play fair in every game. That's why most women are likely to be the victims of being abused either physical, mental, verbal or sexual ways because of having to be known as slightly weaker and can not fight back to a man. Oftenly, their partners are the ones who commit this violences.

Based on the 2017 National Demographic Health Survey's , or NDHS, preliminary findings, 1 in every 4 married women (aged 15-49) has experienced physical, mental, verbal or sexual abuse/violence by their husband.

But now we can let our worries be lessened, because now we have a law that can protect women. It is The Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 or the RA 9262. This law protects women's rights. Not only does it protect the women's rights, but protects the children's rights as well. Nontheless, this law can't stop all the abuses that are happening, because we have to engrave in our minds, that this law does not hold the mind of the abuser. It did somehow lessend the violence that are happening, but out there, there is still someone who needs help.

Lets make a move to help these people to escape the nightmare that they are trapped in. And one way to help, is to educate everyone. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

H E A L I N G

We all know that there are so many environmental issues that are arising and still so many issues that are upcoming for this world. And one top contributors is Climate Chage.

Climate Change or Global Warming is the greatest environmental threat weve'd ever faced. According to statistics, the global carbon dioxide equivalent of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the atmosphere has exceeded 400 parts per million, which at this level is already considered as a tipping point.

This tipping point may lead to irreversible changes in most ecosystems in the world and Mountain Glaciers. This can also lead to destructive sudden heavy rains, intense tropical storms, repeated flooding and droughts are likely to increase

Climate Chage is not just a normal threat. It is the reason behind humanitarian needs and we can see the results before our eyes.

This is a major concern for the environment but since November is the Environmental Awareness Month, this month, we can all start to learn the effects of what we are doing and help to reduce the impact of these environmental issues. I'm sure we all don't want a world without life to happen. That's why we should all start to take care and save the Earth for it is the only Home that we have.

V A L U E S

The Philippines is known for its culture and traditions. People that had already visited the country can guarantee this, it is obvious by its festivals,  museums and etc. It has this unique vibe or atmosphere that just attracts other people to socialize with each other.

This November we celebrate the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Month (EsP) with the theme: "Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin: Susi sa Paghubog ng Kabataang Maka-diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa."

This year, just like the other years, many kinds of contests are done for this Months Celebration. Activities like Tagis Talino, Mural Painting, Poster Making and Doxology were done.

The soul purpose of this celebration is on how students can achieve a good characteristics and personality to use towards other students and of course people that are older than them.

Y O U T H ! !

The most colorful and liveliest part of our lives is when we were still a child. Playing outside of the house or at the park with kids the same age as you are, the time where we only think of what to play next with the new found friends at the park and to what snack you will after. But at this time, we also learn things are not that always simple.

Children need to learn all the skills, techniques, and new knowledge to use in the upcoming stages or part of a persons life.

The theme for this years National Childrens Month is: "Karapatang Pambata:  Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan". The Council of Welfare for Children (CWC) marked November as the National Childrens Month. The City of Vigan prepared a lot of activities that students can surely use in the future.

Students are given the privilage to experience being a Goverment Official and all that.

PEACE AND SECURITY

After the World War II United nations was Formed so that countries will not engaged in war because of international problems, but through UN. Now the UN is formed by 193 countries, unlike before which just consists of 52 countries, and when you think, it's almost all of the countries in the countries all over the world. Tye United Nations is mainly made to bring peace and orderlyness or security, if you call it, throughout the world and make a strong and unbreakable relationships with other countries.

This years theme is: "Indigenous Language Matter for Sustainable Development, Peace Building and Reconciliation". This year of 2019 is the International Year of Languages. And because some languages are disappearing or being forgaten, the United Nations made an action to bring back the old days and let the Indigenous Languages be known and let the importance and culture of it be shown. Language is important for us to communicate and to show the culture or origin of someone.

Language is not just a matter of communication but it is way more than that. It is a part of someones identity, a puzzle piece for every culture and something that we should all be proud off.

CODING

This quarter has been a ride. Making websites using HTML and learning all the codes to use in making one has been quiet fun. As someone that is not really into codes, I'm actually having a great time with it.

2nd quarter has its ups and downs, just like the 1st quarter. But I learned so much in using codes and making websites that I didn't even noticed that I was enjoying every single second. Even though I'm a little bit stressed out becouse of the activities given by the other subjects, I can't seem to help myself to look forward to this everytime.

One of my favorites in coding is when you finish it and look if it turned out great or just another coding that fails. When it fails, you have to look for the part where you did something wrong and add characters that will complete the said "website" and When you actually had it done in the first try, which feels so satisfying, having to look at your code that you put a lot of effort in.

LIGHT IN THE DARK

Do you know that you don't have to sacrifice or endanger yourself to be called a hero?Don't you know that we've always been intouch with them since we're little, and being with them 1/4 of our lives? Did you know I was talking about that one person that has always been patient with us? Yes, I was talking about the teachers.

Teachers are actually nice and fun to be with. They act as our second parent in our lives. They are like stars in the night guiding us in the right path and be a better person. They teach us how to overcome every obstacle that we may face and help us to understand things that we are confuse off. They are always there to encourage us in every step that we do in school. They pull us up and help us rise whenever we are down.

Some teachers may look very strict and have an attitude that we, students, are not very used to. But regardless of that, we cannot hide the fact that they are the ones that will make us what we want to be in the future. They are superheros that help a lot of people in acheiving their dreams in life.

All teachers are very determined, patient, brave, and dedicated to work, that just inspires a lot of students. A hero does not have to sacrifice or endanfer his life, he just have to be what he does best and use it for the better of humankind. They are the light that shines in every darkness that a human can ever stumble upon, and they are the TEACHERS.....MY TEACHER IS MY HERO.

AGHAM

Science and Technology are becoming more and more complicated as time goes by, and of course more advance everytime. Discovering and inventing things that we didn't know our lives need.

This month, September, is very special as we celebrate the National Science Month anchored with the theme:"Metabolize: Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards  National Well being".

This celebration will encourage students to appriciate science as a subject and a part of our lives as well. As how we live our lives now, we can say that science is very important to us because it gives us knowladge about things that we didn't know.

There were activities that happened through out the celebration, The Sci Quiz which junior high school students can participate and test their understandings, there is also the Sci tricks where students apply what they learned in their class and turned it to experiments.

This month has been the best so far and its because of the activities that were prepaired, the officers and advisers of the clubs has really outdone their selves this time, that I can say.

2nd HOME

The Department of Education-Region I, not so long ago, adopted the Happy Schools Movement to enhance the efficient implemation of the K-12 basic education curriculum in the province of Ilocos.

This said movement of the Department of Education aims to promote every school in the region as a happier place to study. Its goal is also to let students know how important education is. It will also intensify the courage that a student has to show what talent they have been hiding.

The regional launch of the Happy Schools Movement was held at the Vigan Convention Center on May 20, 2019. It was anchored on the theme: “ Paaralang Masayang Maglingkod, Tagumpay ng Bata’y Itagumpay”.

This movements goal is to engrave in the mind of pupils that school is not just a place for us to learn but also a place for us to have fun and enjoy what we are doing at the same time.

Being counted as one of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World was Vigan City's greatest recognition. Numerous amount of people visits the place to personally see its buety and history. This city has their own culture and practices in activities that they do.

WIKANG KATUTUBO

Every 8th month of the year, August, the Filipinos celebrate or showcase the way of Filipinos through all of the passing years. And in this month we celebrate and take pride of our identity as a Filipino. We walk and talk proudly about our differences and uniqueness to other people. It's the month where we freely celebrate our language, BUWAN NG WIKA, as we Filipinos call it.

Language is important in every country because it serves as a way for people to communicate and understand each other. Language is the heart of it all. Without it, we won't really understand what living or life really is. No knowladge about things that are very important for all of us now.

In this month, many contests where done in school to elevate the knowladge of students and show them how important language really is. There were Spoken Poestry, Poster Making, and other kinds of contests that happened.

The Buwan ng Wika aims to strengthen our prioritization to our country and honor and appriciate it on the way. It is also a very important event for every Filipino, for it emblematize our love and unity to our country and face any challenges that it may face

MY REFLECTION IN THE FIRST GRADING PERIOD

In this time that I had for the whole 1st quarter, I have learned a lot of new things and ideas that might help me in the future and of course face many challenges in that span of time
as well. In this quarter of course I learned a lot about computers and all of the stuffs that it covers, I learned that now we cannot go through our day without it.
It helps us to do our assignments, researches, and all of other stuffs that people do with it.

But as always life doesn’t go on without a bit of problems or challenges on the sides. This quarter we did a lot of quizzes and activities that
are a lot to take in. Not just in ICT10, but all of my other subjects. Although I have faced some challenges that really got me, on the other side its quite nice having one, because you know your living your life when you encounter such thing.

Well this quarter, while facing all of this stuff…I realize that I’m not in 9th grade anymore, I’m at 10th and the lessons and all of the stuffs that we do are not joke. You have to take it seriously, because it’s the last year of junior high. But anyways, I’m still looking forward for the next quarters, because you’ll never know what will happen…. You’ll never know, I might get more than what I’m suppose to.

THE RESILIENCY OF A FILIPINO!!!

NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH:
“KAHANDAAN SA SAKUNA’T PELIGRO PARA SA TUNAY NA PAGBABAGO”

This year the Philippines celebrates the National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa Tunay na Pagbabago”. Every year the Filipinos face many kinds of natural disasters that may give them a very severe impact.

Being prepared from this so called disasters can really make a big difference when your facing one. By knowing how or what to do before, during or after a disaster, you can be safe and not be one of those people who got injured or died during the said disaster. Having a first
aid kit or/ and survival kit in your own home or wherever you, are is also one of the ways or one of the things to have in being prepared. In the Philippines there is this so called Maniana habit that, if I’m not mistaken, all Filipinos have. A habit that a person that is having  a thought to do things that he should be doing later on that specific day. We can also say that the people who have that kind of habit are lazy. Knowing the Risk Management Reduction can also prepare you for incoming disasters. And also the hotlines or emergency numbers that is in your area.

By having and knowing the said actions, people can be prepared and be ready for any disaster that may come and the country may face.

NOTHINGS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR HEALTH

KUMAIN NG WASTO AT MAGING AKTIBO
PUSH NATIN TO!

It’s the time of the year where we celebrate, appreciate and also know the right kind of foods to eat to be healthy and all that. Every year the school will held a food fest, cooking competitions, nutrijingle and etc., where the lyrics of the song will be based on the given theme. And this year the given theme is “Kumain ng wasto at Maging Aktibo, Push natin to”.

It talks on how you should eat properly and have a healthy lifestyle. This also talks about how you should eat nutritious foods, have an exercise, like doing some stretches every morning or doing Zumba in your own loving room with or without your family. In this way you can be engaged in a nicer, healthier life, not just for you but also for your relatives, friends or co-workers, who you want to do it with or who you are already doing it with. By not having this so called healthy lifestyle, you might get health problems.

This said problems might be very dangerous to your heath and lead you in having a very severe diseases. Diseases that might lead you to have cancer or might even kill us in a snap.

That’s why we should have a healthy lifestyle and not give ourselves a problem that we might regret it the near future. This pretty much just talks about being healthy and not just waste the life that the Lord has given you.

This very said event just talks about how people should maintain a healthy and very active life for us to not have a disease that we will regret having in the near future.

READY SET SAVE!!

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

Every year the country experience many earthquakes, from deep earthquakes that took many lives, living their families in grieving, and shallow earthquakes that not all people can feel, but it is still there. Having these kinds of disaster leads people to conduct a way to prepare other citizens. And they found a way for it, this is the Earthquake Drills that every School or Offices have every year.

Every year schools have this kind of events to let the students, teachers and staffs know what to do inside of the school when an earthquake might happen and might hit the area. This lead the students to do the necessary procedures when an earthquake might hit the school. It takes about an hour or so to finish and all students participate in the said event.

These said event really helps students to know what to do when an earthquake might happen. Not just students but also the teachers and staffs that in the school premises at the time of the disaster.

This said event aims to prepare us in the time of the disaster that might save us from being consumed in a building that we are in or being hit by a wall that is on top on you.

HISTORICAL MOMENT

Independence Day is celebrated every year since the country, the Philippine attains freedom. The day where we Filipinos look back at the time where our heroes saved us from the Spaniards, their boldness and undaunted act to finally free the Filipinos out of their arms. On June 12, 1898 by our President Aguinaldo, at that time, formally flare out the Philippines Independence and the flag of the First Philippines Republic. The day where we or the Filipinos at that time can finally fully let out the fear and uneasiness that they kept for so many years.

Celebrating that particular day is to understand or not forget that one moment   in life there has been an act, a historical moment that heroes risked their lives for the freedom of their beloved country. Showing how brave and undauntable Filipinos can be. Avery very historical moment indeed.
